About Dewayne

Dewayne Rembert is a native of Linden, Alabama. He has been married to his best friend, Leslie, for 24 years, and together they are the proud parents of three children: Devin, Dorian, and Journi. Dewayne’s professional background includes serving as a General Manager with Hilton Hotels. At the height of his career in 2014, he felt led to leave the corporate world and launch a ministry called Flatline Movement. He went on to serve as the first youth pastor at Strong Tower at Washington Park, where he developed a thriving youth program known as iENGauge. Today, he serves as the Lead Pastor of Flatline Church at Chisholm. He holds an Advanced Diploma from Samford University’s Ministry Training Institute and is currently pursuing further studies at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. In addition, Dewayne serves as one of the chaplains for Dr. Percy Julian High School’s athletics program and is on staff with the Montgomery Baptist Association as the Church Planting Strategist and Urban Evangelist. In March 2024, he developed and launched a cross-cultural training for faith leaders called M.A.W.L. (Model, Assist, Watch, Leave). This training has expanded across the country and is designed to equip leaders with practical tools for reaching their communities by better understanding local culture. Dewayne is also an author. He published his first book, Flatlined 2 NGauge, in 2018 and released his second book, The Seven P’s of Biblical Manhood in October 2025. He is also featured in the documentary film Fruit, which is now airing on PBS.
